This "before and after" is from glamourai.blogspot.com.  The author has nice taste in her bedroom furniture; from shabby/presentable to total chic.  I found a retro dresser very similar to this one a couple years back.  It was on w 108th and a homeless man sold it to me for about twelve dollars.  He was guarding it for the right person.  I bought it, and then considered how much cleavage I could muster up to get a cabbie to help me wrestle it into a car.  (...  a lot) ... ;)

What an incredible transformation.  From one of the ugliest night stands I've ever seen to one of the cutest toy kitchen's ever.  Makes me want to wave a magic wand into every single thrift store and turn all the ugly old wood furniture into darling, vintage inspired things for children.  I love the fabric selection for the little curtain and I love the "S" print.  This before & after is a total reminder that people call fresh white paint, "fresh", for a good reason; white paint just freshens up anything.  Anything. These pictures, with more explanation on what went down, is on the blog, http://www.vintagesongbird.blogspot.com/.  How I ended up there while trying to locate pictures of stylish tuxedo pants for a little girl, I couldn't tell you, but I'm so glad I did.  The blog is fun to click on -- probably a little too crafty for someone as glue challenged as myself, but inspiring nonetheless.
